Learrn2Swim Week
Learning to swim is a life skill every child should have! Poolwerx is proud to partner with Kids Alive for the launch of the annual Learn2Swim Week.
Now in its fifth year, Learn2Swim Week aims to give every child under five the chance to learn lifesaving water skills through free swimming lessons during the week-long event.
This Poolwerx initiative will be held throughout Australia and New Zealand from 30 September – 7 October 2019, and we are calling on all swim schools to get involved and show their support for water safety in their local communities.
Tragically, we know that children aged 0-4 years are at the highest risk for both fatal and non-fatal drownings. The ability to swim is one of the most important factors in reducing the risk of childhood drowning, so we need to introduce more kids to water familiarisation and swimming lessons as early as possible.
Swim schools in Australia and New Zealand can register for Learn2Swim Week at learn2swimweek.com/register-your-pool/. Bookings for children under five will open on the website from 20th August.
To find your nearest participating swim school, simply visit learn2swimweek.com/, type in your postcode and contact the school directly about free lessons during Learn2Swim Week. If there are no swim schools listed in your area, make sure you give the school a call and tell them about Learn2Swim Week!
The more kids we educate about respecting and handling the water, the closer we will get to our goal of zero drownings.
